Member Portal →About Us

The Helping Hand Society is a nonprofit volunteer service organization dedicated to supporting the mission of Helping Hand Home for Children. Our members generously contribute their time, talents, and resources to strengthen the Home’s programs, support its dedicated staff, and help children and families build brighter futures.
For generations, the Society has raised and contributed millions of dollars to support children receiving trauma-informed care, through the Home’s residential treatment center, foster care and adoption programs, and The University of Texas charter school located on our campus.
Fundraising and community engagement are central to our work. Each year, the Society hosts two signature events: the Crystal Ball Gala and the Champions for Children Awards Luncheon. Members also organize smaller fundraisers, enrichment activities, and special events that bring joy and meaningful experiences to the children and families served by the Home.
Service is also at the heart of Society membership. Through annual placements, members use and develop their individual talents while supporting fundraising, communications, events, membership, and other areas of the Society’s work.
